It’s February, and in the northern hemisphere, winter is most definitely here!
One of our favorite winter getaways to date was to the Grand Hotel Kempinski High Tatras in Strbske Pleso, Slovakia. It was a magical weekend full of luxury, adventure, delicious food, and snow . . . lots of snow! Here is a little preview of all that the Kempinski, and its unique surroundings, have to offer.
Winter Luxury and Adventure at the Grand Hotel Kempinski High Tatras
If you make a trip to the Kempinski High Tatras, here are the awesome things that await you:
Breathtaking scenery in the High Tatra mountains, with the Kempinski being set right on an alpine lake, which is perfect for exploring, making giant snowballs, and sliding across the ice!
Perfectly-sized bathrobes, slippers and welcome gifts for the kids upon arrival. Who doesn’t like to be pampered, am I right?
Luxury accommodations with spacious balconies and heated marble bathroom floors (I mean, even the kids were into the bathrobes, balconies, and heated floors)!
A pour-it-yourself champagne breakfast bar and a child-size breakfast bar complete with pancakes, toppings, and sparkling juice.
Afternoon tea with trays of macaroons, berries, chocolates, sandwiches, and a hot beverages. Who’s hungry now?
Snow rafting and skiing in the Tatras, with nine slopes less than a mile from the hotel (and a private hotel shuttle that takes you there- bingo)!
Jumping into a heated indoor swimming pool, complete with chandeliers on the ceiling, after a long day outside. Bingo . . . again!
Winter in Strebske Pleso is magical, memorable, and so much fun. Staying at the Kempinski High Tatras makes it even more so.
